Artists
Suarte’s gallery-artist dynamic
On Suarte, Galleries have exclusive rights to upload and manage artworks, while the Artist’s involvement varies depending on the inventory status of the artwork: either “Work of Artist” or “Gallery Owned.”
Work of Artist, refers to artworks that you represent but that belong to the respective artist. Once a work is uploaded and accepted, artists can claim their profiles and enjoy personalized features. This unique structure promotes effective collaboration between galleries and artists, ultimately leading to greater success for both parties.
Gallery Owned, refers to artworks that have been previously purchased and are now owned by the gallery. If an artwork falls into this category, galleries have the option to exclude the artist’s email. For Gallery Owned artworks, no information, including emails, insights, or sales reports, will be disclosed or sent to the artist. If the artist already has a profile on Suarte, the artwork will seamlessly integrate into their existing profile.
Create a new artist’s profile
To include an artist on Suarte, simply search for their name and select it. In case the artist is not listed, you can add them by providing their name, email, and nationality. This enables the artist to claim their profile.
Edit an artist’s profile
Galleries can edit the Artist’s profile only if the artist hasn’t claimed it yet. If an artist does not claim their profile, galleries can change the name, nationality, and email address. When artists claim their profile, they are encouraged to upload a profile picture and add a description to their profile.

Gallery-artist commercial agreement
In a unique approach that brings together galleries and artists, Suarte emphasizes the importance of trust and cooperation to strengthen and improve overall results. Galleries are responsible for establishing clear and fair financial agreements with their represented artists, ensuring that both parties benefit from their collaboration.
Artists can access information on which artworks and Limited Editions have been sold, as well as analytics on their artworks. This keeps artists informed about the performance of their works and allows them to be part of a vibrant community.
By working together in Suarte, galleries and artists can make the most of their partnership, leading to more exposure, recognition, and overall success for both parties.
Addressing artists disintermediation
Disintermediation in the art industry refers to the growing practice where artists sell their artworks directly to collectors rather than through art galleries. This is due mainly to the growing number of online platforms and new technologies available. However, Suarte strongly believes that Galleries are essential and that they should be in charge of the selling process.
Suarte’s platform is designed to promote collaboration and ensure that galleries play a central role in the sales process. Galleries have exclusive rights to upload and manage artworks, while artists can claim their profiles for “Work of Artist” artworks, enabling them to showcase their personal brand and engage with collectors.
By maintaining this gallery-artist relationship, Suarte encourages a healthy and mutually beneficial collaboration that promotes the success of both parties. Galleries handle the uploading, editing, and decision-making regarding the artworks, while artists can access features that enhance their visibility, track their artwork’s performance, and connect with their audience.
Through this approach, Suarte aims to strengthen the relationship between galleries and artists, ensuring that both parties thrive and contribute to Suarte’s vibrant community.
